FISD 2010 - What's Happening
If you haven't heard the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment administration team has been re-elected and is already working to make 2010 another great year for stormtroopers.
The command staff includes:
Detachment Leader - Paul Hoeffer
Executive Officer- Terrell Reber
Provost Marshall - Brian Robinson
Membership Liaison - Bill Haggis
Webmaster - Aaron Fimister
Armor Chief - Mark Gage
Merchandising Team - Wyatt Stephens and Dave Mondo
I'm also creating the position of Communications Officer (equivalent of a Public Relations Officer) to take on the creation of newsletters and helping keep people informed of all the goings on in the detachment.
Some of the projects that will be released in the new few weeks include:
New T-shirt run : Finally! The vote was long ago and it's getting off the ground after some delay in squaring away the artwork. Look for an interest thread in the new few days.
Site Upgrades : we've moved to the latest version of Invision and are still tweaking the skin to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of ESB. This should wrap up in the next week.
FISD Academy : This is our new content site that will include everything *but* the forums. You can view a sneak peak of the home page by following this link (http://www.whitearmor.net/Home.png). The finishing touches are being put in to place as we track down the last of the images we want to use and make final updates to ensure the CRL/EIB are up to date. Look for this to launch in March :)
And after that? Well, the web team will take a much needed break but time stops for no trooper. Expect to see more merch ongoing such as trading cards and other goodies to separate you from your pay chit, and moving forward with a monthly newsletter.
There's always something new in the world of trooping: whether it's new information on an old costume (like a new way of doing shins) or an entirely new one (like how to paint a Stormtrooper Commander), we're excited to have you on board for the journey.

This week, several modifications have been made on the SVN version of PrestaShop.
- Added the ability to integrate or not all the CMS pages in the sitemap
- Fixed a bug in the import CSV with tagged products
- Better errors management with images in the CSV import
- Fixed a bug in the installer encountered with PHP 5.3.1
- Fixed a problem with price conversion in the PayPal payment module
- Fixed a bug in the product page with thumbnails, when Jqzoom is on
- Fixed a bug when installer is called directly by the index.php file of it (. / Install / index.php)
- Management of special characters in URL rewriting
- Fixed a bug in the order detail in the Back Office when products have custom fields
- Fixed the invoices generation when taxes are disabled
- Fixed URL rewriting with the addition of EAN13 product code in the module “ProductsCategory “
- Correction of the method noPackPrice () which did not take into account when taxes are excluded
- Improved method array_walk () of CSV import
- The loyalty module now takes into account promotional timing of products

New announcement: RAPPEL PARA KAY MARC (Feb 20-21, 2009)
Marc Cadiz Libunao is a 6 year old son of a Filipino couple working here in Singapore, and he is suffering from osteosarcoma bone cancer. Marc was diagnosed of the disease in May 2009, which was given immediate attention and medication in the Philippines, but the cancer was already malignant so the parents have decided to bring him here in Singapore and was admitted at the National University Hospital. Where he has undergone an operation and was amputated. After the operation aside from needing an artificial leg to at least enjoy a normal life, he is to undergo a series of chemotherapy every week.
After 2 months of alternating admission and discharge from the hospital, the family could no longer afford the hospital bills (which to date is around 50,000SGD) and the medicines needed. This resulted to the hospital's refusal to admit Marc and deny him of his chemotherapy session even if chemotherapy is badly needed. The parents of Mark are Permanent Residents of Singapore, and have spent all the credits from their Medisave for Marc's chemo session which cost them around 5,000SGD per session. The parents are trying to arrange a payment scheme with NUH.
For now Marc is back home in the Philippines for the continuous chemo sessions there. He is currently confined at Cardinal Santos Medical Center
Once again, the Bundokeros Adventure Club is doing its part to help those who are in need. Aside from the immediate financial support raised by the members of the group, we are opening our doors for those who wish to join and participate in our Rappel-for-a- Cause for Marc Cadiz Libunao on February 20-21 Bukit Timah. All proceeds will be used to support Marc's continuous medication and his battle against cancer.

Ako po ay si Marissa Libunao at kasalukuyang nagtratrabaho dito sa Singapore as call center agent na hindi nman ganun kalakihan ang aking sahod. Ako po ay may isang anak 6 years(MARC GILBERT) old na nadiagnose sa cancer as osteosarcoma last may 2009 sa Pilipinas,so ako po ay umuwi sa ating bansa upang sya ay ipagamot, sya ay nabigyan ng 4sessions ng chemotherapy na akala ko ay liliit ang kanyang bukol bagkus eto ay lumaki at nagalit ang mga cancer cell nya na lumaki ang bukol sa paa nya. Bilang ina ako po ay nag isip n dalin ang aking anak dito sa Singapore for further medication at umasa n ang aking medisave at medisave ng kanyang ama ay sapat sa pagpapagamot. Sya po ay aming nadala dito noong October 12, 2009 and admitted at NUH Oct 16,2009, sya po ay nakatangap ng unag chemo sa hospital at mabilis ang respond na lumiit agad ang bukol nya, ngunit ang attending doctor ay ayaw n patagalin ang sitwasyun ng aking anak sa kadahilanan na malaki n ang sinira ng cancer sa kanyang paa at kinain n ang buto nya sa paa. Sya po madaliang isinalang sa operation noong Nov.5, 2009 sa National University Hospital Singapore, kahit kami ay walang sapat na pera, na halos saan saan n kami humihingi ng tulong mairaos lang ang kada chemo nya dito, kada chemo po ay umaabot kami ng s$5000 na halos everyweek ay nasa hospital sya upang tuluyang labanan ang cancer. Si marc po ay matapang na bata despite po sa nangyari sakanya na nawalan ng paa sya ay patuloy na lumalaban sakanyang karamdaman, upang sya ay tuluyang makalaya sa cancer kinakailangan nya matapos ang chemotherapy nya na sa kasalukuyan ay hindi po nakapagpachemo last january25 2010 sa kadahilanan na kami ay malaki na ang pag kakautang sa hospital,kami po ay hindi pinayagan iadmit ang bata, kami po ay nag decide na iuwi sya pilipinas upang habulin ang huling gamutan,sa pagkakataon na ito ang kanya pong chemo sa pinas ay aaabutin ng mahigitna 150thosound pesos kada chemo o mahigit pa,kung kami ay hindi makakapag uwi ng gamot na kakailanganin nya na methotrexate dito po sa Singapore ay nagkakahalaga ng halos kulang na 30thousand pesos, sa pinas po ay kulang na 100thousand pesos,Kami po lumalapit sainyo na sana po tulungan nyo ang munting bata na humihingi ng tulong upang patuloy na madugtungan ang kanyang buhay. Sa aming pag uwi sa darating na Friday hangang sangayon ay di pa kami nakakalap ng halagang gagamitin para sakanya, patuloy po kami nanalangin at umaasa na may tutulong sa aking anak, Sana po sa makakabasa nito ay maramdaman nyo ang hinaing ng isang bata na pilit lumalaban sa cancer.

Filesoup is back online again! ( Filesoup )
Just a quick email to let you all know that we are back online again, it's been a long, frustrating weekend, but we got there in the end, thanks to the folks at BTiTeam.org, they have been absolutely fantastic, it would not have been possible without their expertise and hard work, so a HUGE thank you to them :-)
