Meet Our Expert Instructor for the Quality Control for Cannabis Workshop! 🌱

Greetings!

We are excited to introduce Mr. Jason Chu, our lead instructor for the upcoming workshop on Quality Control for Cannabis: Specifications and Analytical Testing Requirements, scheduled for November 7, 2023.

With an impressive background and extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Chu is a highly respected figure in the field of quality control and research and development.

Before joining AAPS, Mr. Chu played pivotal roles at Apotex Inc., where he served as an Analytical Research and Development Chemist. In this position, he was responsible for laboratory investigations, method validation, API screening, and process validation support. His exceptional skills and dedication led him to be appointed as a Designated Compliance Coordinator (DCC), conducting self-audits for continuous compliance improvement.

Additionally, he held the position of Quality Control Chemist, conducting rigorous testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products. His proficiency in various laboratory techniques and instruments earned him the designation of Subject Matter Expert (SME) for audit requests conducted by Health Canada and the FDA.

Mr. Chu's academic journey began at York University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2008. During his time at the university, he served as a research assistant, specializing in Synthetic and Analytical Inorganic Chemistry. His research projects focused on the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to useful fuels and the structure elucidation of novel complexes. Furthermore, he contributed to the academic community by teaching undergraduate laboratories in Organic, Inorganic, and Analytical Chemistry as a teaching assistant.
