Glowsticking.com Newsletter: August 27th, 2009 In Review: July and August Meet Ups July and August has finally come and gone, but not without its fair share of meet-ups and gatherings. Many were scheduled and executed flawlessly including the first ever Las Vegas Desert Session (July 25th, 2009), Northern California's Treasure Island Meet-Up (August 15th, 2009), and New York's GlowShop (August 1st, 2009). When asked about one of the meet-ups, Rachel (Raverbebe) had this to say: "The Las Vegas Desert Meetup on July 25th at Desert Breeze Park went well. It started with just Pete (*CALMONER*) and I, but then Pete's friend and his friend's girlfriend showed up. We cracked some sticks when the sun went down ... It was a lot of fun, it's a shame that I'm going to miss the future ones but I am going to work on doing the same in FL." Let's also not forget about the recent GlowShop in New York held on August 1, 2009, with live music from MadRaverRai and Lira Yin. Great times were held by all as glowsticks were tossed, spun, and twirled. As for Northern California's Treasure Island Meet-Up, which was not at Treasure Island due to unforeseen circumstances, Brian (melvenorc12) said, "A lot of people showed up and we had a really good time watching eachother glowstick while chilling." As for the afterparty [Vision: Book Of Dreams], it was "pretty sucky because the music was bleeding between each room, but the amount of glowstickers at the party was great." Even if you already know the move you should be interested purely for the entertainment value and related theory on "three dimensional" stringing and the beginning of combo building. If you don't know the move this will help you, using multiple angles and in-depth description of movements and body placement.
